Materials: Printer Paper, Tissue Paper of any color, Sharpie Gold Metallic Paint Pen, Skewers, Scissors, Glue Gun

Step 1: Gather materials. Print out our freebie downloadable flag tags and cut them out.

Step 2: Use your Sharpie Paint Pen to trace the words “YIPPEE”. We chose gold, but go wild with your colors!

Step 3: Cut a strip of tissue about 7″x 6″, fold the tissue paper in half lengthwise so that your strip is now 7″x 3″. For a fuller fringe make the strip longer.

Step 4: Holding your tissue paper lengthwise, cut small strips up towards the fold but make sure to stop 3/4″ from the top.

Step 5: Use your glue gun to attach the skewer to one edge of the tissue paper.

Step 6: Now roll the base of the tissue paper around the skewer and glue closed. Then wrap the YIPPEE flag around the skewer to cover the base of the tissue.
