Ask Oliver: Tips for your Spring Nuptials

Dear Ollie,

I’m having trouble envisioning my spring/summer wedding. I want something casual yet elegant, fun yet formal and finally colorful yet sophisticated. How can I make all of this happen? HELP!

Sincerely,
Desperately seeking the impossible

Hello desperately seeking the impossible!
Fret not, your wedding sounds like it’s going to be a blast! You can definitely achieve everything you mentioned, all it’s going to take is a little attention to the details. Try to incorporate pops of bold color as small details in your big day. Try pops of oranges and yellows amongst more neutral colors like creams and white. Fun peek-a-boo ideas are exciting too, like the pop of orange in the wedding dress shown below. Our Summer Plaid wedding invitations would be the perfect introduction to your big day. Don’t forget to check out the DIY for the program covers, they’re absolutely adorable. Hopefully this mood board will help jump start your planning! Just remember, it’s all in the little details.

You can find all of these images on our pinterest. Psst … don’t forget about our Cutest Couple Photo contest happenin’ on our Facebook page. Post a photo on our wall for a chance to win $100 toward SoP paper goods. Hurry, the contest ends on Friday the 17th (midnight pst).
