How to throw an Ice Cream Social!
We like to have a little monthly employee appreciation party around these parts and cooked up the idea to throw an ice cream social. The perfect little fete for a hot August afternoon, no? Take a peak at our get together and the special touches we used to make everything a bit more smitten…
First: Gather your supplies! We used vanilla bean and mocha almond fudge ice cream along with tons of fun and interesting toppings. Birthday Cake Oreos, rainbow sprinkles, hot fudge, strawberry preserves and potato chips made an appearance. Everyone was a bit skeptical of the chips, but they turned out to be the crowd favorite. As far as toppings go, the crazier, the better!
Second: Make sure everything looks super cute! We covered our generic ice cream tubs with a cute pattern from Design Love Fest’s desktop downloads. All white mismatching bowls are a great neutral for your fun and colorful toppings. We also hunted down the adorable paper ice cream bowls designed by Oh Joy for Target and mixed in contrasting napkins and spoons.
Next: Enjoy your masterpiece! (and maybe go back for seconds…)
