Students will be introduced easy-to-grasp concepts regarding spacing, layout, and artistry in penmanship (breaking the rules!).
Throughout this class, we will use Historical samples and our combined powers of deduction to derive understanding of how and why certain letterforms might be adapted to better suit the needs of the moment. Attendees will gain an intimate perspective on the script of several influential historic figures, and apply this knowledge towards a small project by the end of class.
basic knowledge Copperplate, Engrosser’s Script, or Roundhand writing is required to get the full benefit of this class.
